This How.com.vn teaches you how to set up the IBM Verse app on your iPhone to access your mail, calendar, and contacts.
Steps
- Open IBM Verse. It’s the blue icon with a white sharing symbol (a V with three dots) and the text ″IBM″ at the bottom. You’ll usually find it on the home screen.
- Select a server. You can connect to your Company’s Server or the IBM Connection Cloud.
- Sign in. The steps are different depending on the server you’re connecting to:
- Company server: Enter the username and password into the first two boxes, type in the server’s address into the last box, then tap Log in.
- IBM Connection Cloud: Enter your iNotes or Webmail username and password, then tap Log in.
- Choose a passcode (if prompted). If your administrator requires you to set a new password for Verse, follow the on-screen instructions to set that up now.[1]
- Tap OK to give Verse permission to access your contacts. The app will now sync your Verse contacts to your iPhone. The contacts will be placed in a group called ″IBM Verse.″
- Set your mail and calendar syncing preferences. Verse will automatically start to sync your mail and contacts, but not all data will be synced. To set your preferences, tap the gear icon, then choose the date range you want to sync. From here on, all mail, messages, and contacts will sync automatically.Advertisement
Community Q&A
- QuestionWhy does it show "unsecure protocol" when I configure IBM Verse on my iPhone?Community AnswerIt may be because the email server you're trying to connect to is using an outdated or insecure protocol such as SSLv3 or TLS 1.0. These protocols have known vulnerabilities and are no longer considered secure.
