How to Change a Folder Location on Google Drive on iPhone or iPad

This WikiHow teaches you how to move a folder to a new location in your Google Drive account for iPhone and iPad. You can move folders and files individually, or you can select multiple folders to move them all at once. Using folders in Google Drive is a good way to keep your files organized.

Moving a Single Folder or File

    It’s the app with the icon of a yellow, green, and blue triangle.

    It’s the button with the three dots.

    It’s about halfway down the menu, next to the folder icon with the arrow pointing right.

    Tap one of the options to see the folders available that you can move your folder or files to:
    • My Drive: This is your main Google Drive folder. Tapping it will show all the folders you have stored on your Drive.
    • Computers: If you have any computers synced with your Google Drive account, you can choose a folder on one of them.
    • Shared with me: This will show you all the folders that other people have shared with you that you have access to.
    • Starred: This will show you all the folders you have starred in your Google Drive account.

    • You can also create a new folder by tapping the folder with the “+” sign in it. It’s located in the upper right-hand corner.

Movin Multiple Folders or Files

    The file will be highlighted in blue with a check mark to the left.

    Each file you tap will be highlighted and have a blue checkmark icon to the left.
  4. How.com.vn English: Step 4 Tap the folder icon with an arrow in it at the bottom of the screen.

      • You can drag and drop folders and files by tapping and holding on the file without lifting your finger.
      • To drag and drop multiple folders or files at once, tap and hold on a file until it's selected and a checkmark appears next to it. Tap additional files to add them to the selection, then drag the selection at the bottom of the screen to a new location.
