Steps
Open your Settings. A quick way to do this is to right-click the Windows menu and select Settings, but you can also click the gear icon in the Windows menu.- If you haven't already installed the browser you want to use, you'll need to do that first.

Click Default apps. It's on the left panel in Windows 10, and on the right panel in Windows 11.
Select a new default browser.- If you're using Windows 10, select the current default browser under "Web browser," then click your preferred browser.[1]
- On Windows 11, select the browser you want to set as the default, then click Set default.
- If your web browser is not showing up, try launching it first. If you just installed it, it may not be recognized as a web browser by Windows until you run it at least once.

Open your Mac's System Settings. To do this, click the Apple menu at the upper-left corner of the screen, and then click System Settings.- If you're using macOS Monterey or earlier, select System Preferences instead.
- If you haven't already installed the web browser you'd prefer to use on your Mac, do so before you continue.
Click Desktop & Dock. It's in the menu on the left side of the window.- If you have macOS Monterey or older, click General instead.
