Parrots are one of many passive mobs in Minecraft. These colorful birds can imitate the call monsters and you can carry them around on your shoulder—and is a great choice if you want a flashy and fun pet. But how do you get more parrots if you don't want to tame them? Unfortunately, parrots cannot be bred in Minecraft. While you can't breed parrots, though, you can spawn their eggs in Creative Mode, which will let you generate as many parrots as you want. In this article we'll teach you how to get the Parrot Spawn Egg, as well as go over where you can find parrots if you don't want to cheat.

Things You Should Know

  • If you're on a server with cheats enabled, you can also spawn a parrot egg by using the command /give @p minecraft:parrot_spawn_egg 1.
  • If you don't want to cheat, the only way to get more parrots is to tame them in jungle biomes.
