Do you want to disable WhatsApp calls on your iPhone or iPad? While you can't disable them in the app itself, you can stop notifications on your device and even delete calls from your history. Here's how to block WhatsApp calls on iPhone or iPad.
Turning Off WhatsApp Call Notifications on iOS
To disable WhatsApp calls on your iPhone or iPad, open your Settings. Tap Notifications → WhatsApp → toggle off Allow Notifications. You can also use Do Not Disturb mode to silence unwanted calls.
Steps
- Open the Settings app. This is the grey cog icon.
- This method blocks all incoming notifications from WhatsApp, including calls and messages. You can still answer or reply when you open the app again.
- Tap Notifications. You may need to scroll down to find this option.Advertisement
- Scroll down and tap WhatsApp. This will be under the Notification Style header.
- A list of notification options will appear.

- When this is disabled, you won't receive any notifications when you exit WhatsApp, including incoming calls.
- Open WhatsApp. This looks like a green speech bubble icon with a white phone receiver inside.

- While there’s no way to turn off all incoming WhatsApp calls, you can ignore them by enabling Do Not Disturb mode on your iPhone or iPad.
- When your phone or tablet is in Do Not Disturb mode, you will not receive any notifications, vibrations, or lighting-up of the screen.
- Tap the crescent moon icon. Do Not Disturb will be enabled on your device. All notifications and alerts will be silenced.
- Alternatively, tap Focus and then tap Do Not Disturb.
- To turn Do Not Disturb back off, open the Control Center and tap the crescent moon icon again.
