Question
How can I deal with a neighbor who lets their bird feeder rubbish fall into our balcony? They have been told about this by us and another person, and still have not stopped it. The same neighbor also deposits his hair trimmer clippings out another window and it lands in and on our kitchen window.

If you live in a condo or are permitted to have construction work done in your apartment, be considerate of the noise level. As a courtesy, notify your immediate neighbors in advance of when the work is going to be performed, and always try to schedule it no earlier than mid-morning and no later than dinnertime. This is especially important when the construction work involves audible nuisances like drilling, hammering, etc.

Be aware that someone with a limp or someone overweight may still creak floors and stairs or seem to stomp with every step even if they're barefoot or wearing soft house slippers and moving as quietly as possible. If you complain about repeated stomping, talk about it. Once they've done everything they can, just accept it - disabled people can't always comply with this. Anyone using a cane indoors is going to make that noise whether they want to or not. You can't expect them not to leave early for work, use the bathroom at night, fix a snack or not come in late from long working hours. Some noise complaints are negotiable, others aren't. If you see a cane, it may not ever be negotiable.
