Peter Singer

Peter Singer is the Ira W. DeCamp Professor of Bioethics at Princeton University. Peter's books "The Most Good You Can Do" and "The Life You Can Save" are considered the foundational texts in effective altruism, a philosophy and social movement that uses evidence and reasoning to determine the most effective ways to benefit others. Peter founded Animals Australia, the country's largest and most effective animal organization, in 1980 and was voted one of Australia's ten most influential public intellectuals in 2006. He also received the Berggruen Prize for Philosophy and Culture in 2021. He has a BPhil from the University of Oxford and a Masters in Philosophy from the University of Melbourne.
