Professional Surfer

Bethany Hamilton is a professional surfer and author. In 2003, she had her left arm bitten off by a shark, but continued to surf. Since 2007, she has competed in numerous surfing competitions around the world. The 2011 feature film, Soul Surfer, is based on her experiences.
