This How.com.vn teaches you how to archive a Slack channel in order to remove it from your workspace's channel list, and close it for all members, using Android.
Steps
Open the Slack app on your Android. The Slack app looks like an "S" in a colored circle icon on your Apps menu.- If you're not automatically logged in, tap the blue SIGN IN button in the lower-left corner, and sign in to the workspace you want to edit.
Tap the workspace icon on the top-left. This button looks like the initials of your workspace's name in the upper-left corner of your screen. It will open your navigation menu on the left-hand side.Advertisement
Tap the channel you want to archive. Find the channel under the CHANNELS heading on the menu, and tap it. This will open the channel chat.- If you want to switch to a different workspace, tap the four-squares icon in the upper-right corner of the menu, and select a different workspace.
Tap the channel's name at the top of the chat. Your channel's name is listed at the top of the chat conversation. Tapping it will open this channel's details on a new page.
Scroll down and tap Archive. This option is written in red letters under the Advanced heading at the bottom of the menu.- You will have to confirm your action in a new pop-up window.
Tap ARCHIVE in the confirmation pop-up. This will remove the channel from the channel list, and close it for all members.Advertisement
