How to Add Text to a Video on Samsung Galaxy

This How.com.vn teaches you how to add a text box on a video clip, and write your own custom text, using a Samsung Galaxy. You can use Samsung's stock Movie Maker app to easily do this. For more text options, you can also use use a third-party video editor, or edit your videos in a social media app like Instagram or Snapchat.

Steps

  1. How.com.vn English: Step 1 Open the Samsung Movie Maker app on your Galaxy.
    Movie Maker looks like a purple-and-white app icon on your Apps menu.
    • If you don’t have this app on your Galaxy, you can download it from the Samsung App Store.
  2. How.com.vn English: Step 2 Tap the purple + button.
    It's on the lower-right corner of your screen. It will create a new video project.
    • Alternatively, you can select a previous project, and open it in editing mode.

    This will add the selected video clip to your project.
    • Optionally, you can select an effect filter to add to your video clip.
    • Tap DONE on the top-right to add the video clip.

    This button looks like a "T" icon on the toolbar at the bottom of your screen. It will add a text box on your video.

    Tap the text box on your video, and enter the text you want to add.
    • You can use the toolbar buttons above your keyboard to edit your text's font, size, and style settings.

    This will save your video to your Galaxy's Gallery app.
