Steps
Open Gmail in your internet browser. Type mail.google.com into the address bar, and hit ↵ Enter or ⏎ Return on your keyboard.- If you're not automatically logged in, sign in to your Google account with your email or phone, and your password.
Click the Google Tasks icon on the right sidebar. The Tasks icon is a blue circle with a yellow dot and a white diagonal line. You can find it below your profile avatar near the top-right.- This will open a new Tasks panel on the right-hand side.
- If you haven't updated your Gmail to the latest layout, you may not be able to find the Tasks icon on the right sidebar. To update, click on the top-right, and select Try the new Gmail.
Click theicon next to the name of your current list. It will open a drop-down menu of all your task lists.
Select Create new list. This option is at the bottom of the drop-down menu. It will open a new pop-up.
Enter a name for your new task list. Click the "Enter name" field in the pop-up window, and type a title for your list here.
Click Done. This will create your new task list.- Tasks will automatically switch to your new list.
Click + Add a task. You can find this option at the top of your task list. It will add a new, empty task.
Enter your task details. You can add as many tasks to your list as you want.Advertisement
